February 16th to the 19th 2011 the marketing director of le Comité Régional du Tourisme and the President of le Phare participated in a meeting with Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador.

Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador is an association which gathers all the professionals of tourism sector of Newfoundland and Labrador. www.hnl.ca
This meeting had two principal objectives:
- A seminar with the public:
Saint-Pierre et Miquelon held a stand during these 4 days at the Delta hotel with an aim of promoting the archipelago. The clients of the Delta hotel are potential customers for the archipelago as many businessmen can combine their stay also with a visit to Saint-Pierre et Miquelon.
This seminar is presented to the participants of the tourist sector to orient them over the 30 next years.
- The ferry “The Atlantic Vision” will start its crossings this year between Newfoundland and Labrador and Nova Scotia.
- The Department of Transportation and works of Newfoundland will review signage for the highways.
- The Convention Center will be expanded
- The small ports will be arranged with the aim of receiving private yachts.
- New ideas will be accepted by the federal and provincial government in order to increase the number of accomodations. (Finding accomodations has been a problem in Newfoundland and Labrador)
- Tour Operators developing new products.
- Promotional publicity has flourished over the last 3 years.
Positive conclusions "Saint-Pierre et Miquelon"
- The application for Promotional highway signage in Newfoundland for Saint-Pierre and Miquelon was granted by the Canadian government.
- The travellers guide Newfoundland & Labrador and Saint-Pierre et Miquelon is printed and available at the Comité Régional du Tourisme.
- The application for online information and data-processing format was granted on the ferries “Marine Atlantic” has been accepted by NFLD.
- Saint-Pierre and Miquelon presented their all inclusive price on trips that was very appreciated by our collaborators.
- Some of the largest hotels of St.Johns agreed to distribute the traveller guides of Saint-Pierre et Miquelon.
