This is a world class off-shore race, held every second year, between Halifax, Nova Scotia and Saint-Pierre. La Route is now an integral part of the international yachting calendar on the East Coast of North America. Sailors enjoy the challenge of the 360 nautical miles separating Halifax from Saint-Pierre. Sailors from different maritime regions get together to appreciate the French islands. The participants take in the French ambiance, culture, gastronomy and hospitality.

Bastille Day

July 14 is the National Holiday in France and commemorates the taking of the Bastille in 1789. Most events are centred around the Place du Général de Gaulle and are attended by a lot of people. There are food concessions and games. The day ends with fireworks and an open-air dance.

Déferlantes Atlantiques 10^th Edition

This music festival is held every year for a two-week period in July. Local and invited musicians perform every evening in various venues and bars of Saint-Pierre and of Miquelon.
