Day 1:

Arrival in Saint-Pierre.
Discover the island by bus or minivan tour (duration: 1h15). You’ll learn about the history and local heritage, see the various French Government buildings, the Cathedral, the Basque wall, and the harbour. You’ll be charmed by the architecture and vivid colours of our traditional homes.

Visit of Le Musée Héritage;

or,

Take the Prohibition Tour. This tour includes a walk through the main area of town and a look at old photographs that will bring you back to the time of the bootleggers.

Day 2:

At 8:30 am, depart from the tourism office for a guided walking tour (duration: 2h) on one of the nature trails of Saint-Pierre. Your guide will point out the unique flora and fauna in France’s only boreal forest;

or,

At 9:30 am take a walking tour to l’Anse à Henry and explore the Prehistoric story of the island. As you walk along the trail, discover the fauna and flora and understand why Amerindian and Paleo-Eskimo peoples periodically set up camp here as early as 3000 BC. L’Anse à Henry is a major archaeological site as well as an exceptional natural location, offering a great view of the Grand Colombier island and its thousands of seabirds.

At 2:00 pm take the boat for Ile aux Marins for a guided tour. Your guide will tell you about the heyday of the Grand Bank and inshore fisheries. You’ll visit some of the island’s buildings and its museum Archipélitude, housing artefacts from the past;
Back in Saint-Pierre at 5:00 pm

or,

Discover marine life in a Zodiac (twice a day 1h30 or a 3h00 tour). Rendez-vous at the Yachting Centre for this unforgettable experience! (A snack is included.)

Day 3:

8:00 am Departure to Miquelon.

Miquelon-Langlade mini van tour. (3h00)

Part for adventure and discover the beautiful landscapes of Miquelon-Langlade aboard a minivan. Visit the village of Miquelon and its surroundings (Calvaire, Mirande). Visit Langlade (the vacation getaway with its sand dunes and horses).

Discover the Grand Barachois.(2h30)

Take our zodiac then explore the Grand Barachois of Miquelon, a fabulous site for viewing seals and birds.

Overnight in Miquelon.

Day 4:

Acadian in the heart of Miquelon.(2h00)

On the guided walk, relive some important moments in our Acadian history while visiting the Miquelon museum, the cemetery, the Acadian monument and church.

or,

"Cap de Miquelon", guided eco-walk.(3h00)

Discover the variable topography of the" Cap de Miquelon" with its sub-arctic areas, wooded areas and coastal cliffs. Also learn about the flora and fauna that inhabit this area of Miquelon. A breathtaking panorama awaits you!

Departure from Miquelon to Saint-Pierre.
The evening is the perfect time to enjoy the restaurants and take in the musical scene in the bars.

Day 5:

At 10:00 am, visit L’Arche Museum and then do a walking tour in the old parts of town to explore some basic aspects of the history and heritage (duration 1h45); or, take a shorter tour(duration 1 h) on the following themes: the houses in Saint-Pierre, the remnants of French architecture, the fishery or the fires;

or,

Walk the streets, go into the boutiques and choose local souvenirs to bring home.
